K&L you can do it. With both of you working together on your dream, of owning an older house, anything is possible. I live in a house built in 1901, and I LOVE it, so much character, and history.

Wow. I'm the same way...I grew up in a house that was built in 1850 but didn't appreciate it at the time. I find myself drawn to holder homes too now. My dream is to own an old Victorian in the south too one day. I loved the video and the tour. Thanks so much for sharing!

This house was my grandmother and grandfathers house! When I was growing up in Union Springs we spent many hours there. I am told that my mom and dad were married in front of the beautiful fireplace and mantel. Would love to see you buy and restore. Good Luck!

Sadly, you may not get your money back out of a house in Union Springs. The houses are beautiful and so old, but that is about all there is to offer. Eufaula, Selma, and Mobile have beautiful homes as well.
It's such a shame to see the homes falling apart.

I'll bet the owner would work out all sorts of deals for you in order to get it off his hands, judging by what one of your reader's posted.

Ask for:
-Owner Financing
-Closing costs paid by Owner
-Reduce Price?
-Closing date 6-9 months from now.

The biggest question would have to be, do you want to live in Union Springs?

Don't do anything too spontanious.

O...M...G!!! I looooove this house. It is....(I'm speachless). The price tag alone gives me goosebumps. Um...I will definitely be dreaming about this house and what I would like to do with it. That house is sooo beautiful I love the columns they are really pretty. It is sooo cheap, you wouldnt get the ruins of an old house in Ireland for that money, you might get a shed if you were lucky. Thats a bargain,Id buy it if I had money and didn't live in Ireland
